Complacency is probably my number one enemy. Not because it always looks dangerous. Most of the time, it feels safe. It sounds like: “I’m good.” “We’re good.” “Everything is fine.” “I’ll deal with that later.” But that is what makes it so dangerous. Sometimes there is rot underneath the surface, and we keep ignoring it because today still feels okay. The habits are slipping. The discipline is fading. The growth is slowing down. The warning signs are there. But nothing has fallen apart yet, so we convince ourselves we’re fine. Proverbs says, “The complacency of fools will destroy them.” That verse has been sitting with me. Today’s success is not tomorrow’s victory. So daily, I want to stay vigilant. Daily, I want to stand guard. Daily, I want to keep pressing forward. Because I don’t believe we ever truly “make it.” I believe we go from one level of growth to another. The moment someone says, “I’m good.
